Experimenting with a new style. tried to incorporate more line into the work and stay a little looser. it's a lot of fun to paint that way. you may see more in this style! :)

The Fishing Trip

Just had a little fun with this piece. The two children are from 2 different references. I combined them and added the fishing rod, hoping to add an implied story about the fishing trip. What do you think happened? :o)

Forever Blowing Bubbles

this took a bit of coaxing to get onto paper. i started a drawing on colored paper thinking I'd do one of my conte portraits. absolutely did not like the way it was going, so scrapped it. after i started again on textured charcoal paper and at first, i thought 'oh boy... not my night!' as it moved along though, i kinda liked how the texture shows through, so went a little looser and ended up quite enjoying drawing this one.
