Evening Glow

Finally caught up to the model and got permission to post this. Thank you to Tasastock for the excellent reference!

This is my first oil painting, and I love oil for figures! Hope to do more of them soon!

Pretty Bird

more of those brush pens. I was trying to see how subtle you can get with them on the feathers. just used the black pen here, with lots of water.

Where's The Fire?

little experiment with a new set of Bienfang brush pens. Those things are fun to play with! Really just watercolor in a convenient tube you squeeze out through a brush.

Fancy Pansies

Ok, I don't know whether to declare this my first oil painting or not. I started another oil (for the first time), then painted this one, then finished the other one. So if it's not my first oil painting, then it's my first and and a half... :D

The other oil will be posted soon I hope. Have to get permission from the model first.

Life In A Fishbowl

Something intriguing about painting underwater scenes. Maybe all the lost and found edges as objects emerge from the depths.
